- Welcome to Poker Shark
Texas Hold'emPoker Shark features two different styles of poker - Texas Hold'em and Omaha. Texas Hold'em is currently the most common type of poker played casually, in online casinos, or seen on TV. Texas Hold'em is a version of seven-card poker, meaning that by the end of the round, the player will have seven cards to choose from to make a Five-card hand. The deck is a standard 52-card deck. The game uses standard poker combinations and is played over five rounds.OmahaOmaha is an engrossing poker game similar to Texas Hold’em. Each player is dealt four cards and must make his best hand using exactly two of them, plus exactly three of the five community cards. All the other rules (rounds, bets, showdown, pots, etc.) are the same as for Texas Hold’em.

Rules of the gameHold’em is normally played using a 52-card deck. The card rank is standard: the highest is the Ace, the lowest is deuce. The objective of the game is to collect the best poker combination using 2 hole cards and 3 community cards in order to win the pot. The game starts with blind bets of two players sitting to the dealer’s left. The size of the bet depends on the game cost.Blind betsA dealer button is used to represent the player in the dealer position; the dealer button rotates clockwise after each hand, changing the position of the dealer and blinds. The small blind is posted by the player to the left of the dealer and is usually equal to half of the big blind. The big blind, posted by the player to the left of the small blind, is equal to the minimum bet. In pot-limit and no-limit games the blind bets are indicated in the name of the game (e.g. at the Hold’em table $1/$2 the small blind is $1 and the big blind is $2). Sometimes antes (forced contributions by all players) may be used in addition to blinds. Play begins with each player being dealt two cards face down, with the player in the small blind receiving the first card and the player in the button seat receiving the last card dealt. The action, or the first move, falls on the player to the left of the big blind. That player can call the bet, raise it, or fold. The availability of actions depends on the moves of the previous players. The player may always fold (discard their hand and forfeit their stake in the current pot). If no one has yet opened the betting round, a player may bet, pass, or check (decline to make a bet, but keep the cards). If one of the players has made a bet, the subsequent players may fold, call, or raise the bet. To call is to match a bet or match a raise. To raise is to increase the size of the bet required to stay in the pot.Round One – Pre-flopOnce the cards are dealt face down, each player looks at their cards; on their action they must then decide if they wish to call the current bet, fold their hand, or raise the bet. Each player, starting with the seat to the left of the big blind, makes their choice and acts. For example, if the big blind is $2, to call will imply to add $2 to the pot, whereas to raise will mean to add at least $4. The turn goes to the next player. Proceeding clockwise, all other players make their moves.
Note:Every betting round continues until all active players (the ones that didn’t fold) make equal bets to the pot.
A player may:- pass or fold
- bet
- check. A player may have the option to check if they bet early in a betting round equally to the previous bet.
- call
- raise
Round Two – FlopThree cards are dealt face up on the table. These are "community" cards. Community cards are shared by all players, meaning all players may build their hands from these cards. After the flop, there is another round of betting begins with the first player to the left of the dealer. A player may check (bet nothing) and remain in the hand. If another player bets, checking players will be given another opportunity to bet or fold.Round Three – TurnThe turn or "turn card" or "fourth street" is the fourth of five cards dealt to a community card board, constituting one face-up community card that each of the players in the game can use to make up their final hand.Round Four – RiverThe river or "fifth street" is the final card dealt in a Hold’em hand. There are now five cards on the table and two cards in your hand: seven cards total. From these seven cards, the computer will pick your best five-card hand. It is possible that the five cards on the table make the best hand - in this case it is possible that all players may have the same hand. River is followed by a final round of betting.Round Five – ShowdownIf two or more players remain after the final betting round, a showdown occurs. The last player to bet or to raise is the first player to show their hand. At the end of the last betting round, if more than one player remains, there is a showdown, in which the first player after the button’s left reveals their previously hidden cards and evaluate their hands. The player with the best hand which comprises five cards according to the poker variant being played wins the pot. If the best hand is shared by more than one player, then the pot is split equally among them. Suit values are irrelevant in Hold'em. - Omaha Hold ‘em
Rules of the gameOmaha Hold’em is one of the most popular type of poker played worldwide. Omaha uses one standard 52-card French deck. Ranking is standard: the highest card is ace, deuce is the lowest one. Objective of the GameEach player is dealt four cards and must make his best hand using exactly two of them, plus exactly three of the five community cards.
Hold’em is normally played using small and big blind bets – forced bets by two players. The small blind is posted by the player to the left of the dealer and is usually equal to half of the big blind. The big blind, posted by the player to the left of the small blind, is equal to the minimum bet. Bets may vary depending on the game cost. For example, if the common bet is 1-2$ the small blind will be 0.5$ when the big blind is 1$. The dealer acts first before the cards are dealt. Once the bets are made, the play begins with each player being dealt four cards face down.
The next stage of the game is called pre-flop. A round of betting continues until every player has made a bet taking into account the card they have. Betting round begins with the player to the left of the big blind.
A player may:- pass or fold
- bet
- check. A player may have the option to check if they bet early in a betting round equally to the previous bet.
- call
- raise
A round of betting continues until every player has made a bet. If all players call around to the player in the big blind position, that player may either check or raise. After the pre-flop betting round the dealer deals a flop, three face-up community cards.Flop – Turn – RiverOnce the dealer dealt three face-up community cards (flop) the betting round repeats. After the flop betting round ends, a single community card (called the turn or fourth street) is dealt, followed by a third betting round. A final single community card (called the river or fifth street) is then dealt, followed by a fourth betting round. Once the river is dealt all players may bet. If a player bets and all other players fold, then the remaining player is awarded the pot and is not required to show his hole cards. On the showdown, each player plays the best poker hand they can make from the five cards comprising his two hole cards and the three community cards.
All betting rounds begin with the player to the dealer's left and continue clockwise. In poker, the buck or dealer button is a marker used to indicate the player whose turn to bet comes first.
Omaha hi-low is a high-low split version of Omaha.
Depending on the bets there are Omaha high and Pot Limit Omaha.
